CASE STUDY · MULTI-DESIGN PROMOTIONAL ORDER

Promotional Flag Sunglasses Made in 10 Country Designs

A U.S. promotional products company needed country-flag sunglasses for sports-event giveaways. The customer selected DOMI’s existing DM-584 frame, approved a physical heat-transfer sample without revisions and ordered 300 pairs per design across 10 flag patterns—a total of approximately 3,000 pairs.

The customer type, order details and project results shown on this page have been approved for publication. The customer’s company name is omitted.

REAL PROJECT · SPORTS-EVENT GIVEAWAYS

How a U.S. Promotion Company Built a Multi-Country Giveaway Program

The customer was preparing promotional sunglasses for sports events and needed several national-flag designs rather than one high-volume pattern. The order included flags such as the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany. By starting with an existing PC frame and controlling the order at 300 pairs per design, the customer could launch 10 coordinated styles without developing a new mold.

Client Objective

One sports-promotion program, 10 different flag designs

The Requirement: The buyer needed sunglasses that could work as promotional giveaways for supporters of different national teams. Each design had to be visually distinct, but all 10 styles still needed to belong to one coordinated product program.

The Quantity Challenge: The volume for each individual flag was not especially large. Instead of ordering one graphic in a high quantity, the customer required 300 pairs for each of 10 patterns. The production route therefore needed to support design variety while keeping the quantity of each pattern practical.

Product and Process Selection

Use an existing PC frame and apply each flag by heat transfer

The Product Route: The customer selected DM-584 from DOMI’s existing frame options. Because the frame platform and mold were already available, the project could focus on artwork, pattern placement and sample approval instead of new frame development and tooling.

The Graphic Route: Heat transfer was used to apply the approved country-flag graphics across the suitable frame and temple surfaces. This route supported the multi-color patterns and wider visual coverage required for the sports-event theme. Each flag layout was treated as a separate approved design within the same order.

Physical Sample Approval

Confirm the printed result before scheduling all 10 patterns

The Sample: DOMI prepared a physical sample so the customer could review how the heat-transfer pattern looked on the actual PC frame. The sample made the design easier to judge than artwork alone because it showed the real color appearance, placement and coverage on the product surface.

The Approval: The customer approved the physical sample without requesting a revision. DOMI then used the approved result as the production reference and moved the 10 flag designs into bulk production.

Multi-Design Production and Quality Control

Keep pattern quality consistent across a 3,000-pair mixed order

Production Control: The order was divided into 10 flag designs at 300 pairs per design, for approximately 3,000 pairs in total. Keeping the same frame platform across the program simplified product consistency, while each graphic still required its own pattern and quantity control.

Quality Checks: Inspection focused on graphic position, color appearance, coverage completeness, visible scratches and heat-transfer adhesion. These checks helped ensure that each country design followed its approved sample and that the mixed order was ready for promotional use.

COMPLETED PROMOTIONAL PROGRAM

10 flag designs delivered, followed by repeat orders

DOMI completed approximately 3,000 promotional flag sunglasses across 10 designs. The customer responded positively to the finished order and later placed repeat orders, showing that an existing frame and a controlled heat-transfer process could support an ongoing multi-country promotional program.

The customer has approved publication of the supplied project information and product images. Country designs shown on the page are representative styles produced for the order.

CASE STUDY QUESTIONS

What Buyers Can Learn From This Project

Can buyers use an existing sunglasses mold for a flag promotion?

Yes. This customer selected DOMI’s existing DM-584 PC frame instead of developing a new mold. The suitability of an existing product depends on the intended artwork, surface, quantity and required specifications.

What was the MOQ for each flag design in this order?

The customer ordered 300 pairs for each country-flag design. With 10 designs, the complete order was approximately 3,000 pairs. MOQ should still be confirmed for the selected product, graphic treatment and order requirements.

Can one bulk order include several country flags?

Yes, subject to quantity and production confirmation. This order combined 10 separate flag patterns, including designs for the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany, with 300 pairs assigned to each design.

Why was heat transfer used for these sunglasses?

Heat transfer was suitable for the approved multi-color flag patterns and the required graphic coverage on the selected PC frame. The final method should always be checked against the artwork, material, surface and approved physical sample.

Did the customer approve a physical sample?

Yes. DOMI prepared a physical heat-transfer sample before bulk production. The customer approved it without requesting a revision, and the approved sample became the reference for production.

What quality points were checked during production?

Checks focused on graphic position, color appearance, coverage completeness, visible scratches and heat-transfer adhesion. Each pattern also needed to remain consistent with its approved reference.

Can DOMI produce flags or event graphics other than those shown?

Other national flags and approved event graphics can be reviewed for the selected product. Buyers should provide the artwork or flag list, required quantity per design, target market, packaging needs and delivery requirements for evaluation.

Did the customer reorder the flag sunglasses?

Yes. The customer gave positive feedback on the completed program and later placed repeat orders.
